I think it's great that BOB is willing to recall the strollers based on one incident. It shows that they take safety seriously. But seriously? Pretty soon nothing is going to be allowed to have strings at all. I have 2 BOBs, a single and a double, and I can say you have to be doing something different or in a weird position for that string to get caught around the child's neck while they are riding in the stroller. This is especially true on the double, where the string (I just checked mine) is barely long enough for a small child to grab, never mind put their head through. Ugh.
I played with a friend's BOB this morning and after playing with it I could see how it was possible. It was not the most likely situation, but I could see how it happened.
