office opps!

in 1st Trimester
So I work in a small office and we have Quick Books. QB's has a message system where you IM other people logged into QB's. So today I sent a message that was meant for one lady, but went to the lady I was talking about....OPPS! I now look like the bi**h in the office. Just had to vent, cause clearly I can't do it here in the office :-)

    I do this with text messages all the time when they're about one of my best of friends. It always end up being a good thing in the end, because I'm forced to talk to her about what I'm upset about, but still I always feel like a total idiot.

    Ohh my gosh that is so embarassing!  At my old firm, a co-worker meant to send an email to me about another attorney, and sent it to that attorney.  It was super awkward for all involved.

    Oh no! I hate when things like that happen...I just cringe thinking about it.  I was texting my husband once that I thought I was watching my neighbors kids for 15 minutes and it had been over an hour...I was whining.  Soon after my neighbor got home we talked and it wasn't until the next day I realized I sent the message to her!  I was freaking out but I talked to her and apologized and everything was fine.  Good  luck to you!  Try to  not stress too much, it will blow over soon!

    Thanks ladies! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has done this...hopefully I'll learn from this one mistake and not do it again.

    Omg! I've done that too.  We have IM as well and one day I heard this lady being so rude to another worker, so I meant to IM my friend and my dumb a** IM the actual lady that was being rude.  I was mortified and she replied back to me some sarcastic comment.  I apologized and said it would never happen and went directly to my boss and just told her and she just laughed....thankfully!  Ha! That's funny and hey...it happens!Stick out tongue
