DH and I are on the search for a glider and ottoman. Where did you get yours? We have been to BRU and just don't like anything there. I like a few on the JC Penney site that I like, any thoughts on them?
TIA

I just couldn't see spending a lot of money for one, so I got a cheapo one from Walmart - it was 150ish for the ottoman and glider. its starting to fall apart now, but it was good for 2 years!
remind your husband it'll be covered w/ baby goop by the time you are done w/ it - spit up, milk, etc. and all the other "things" that come out of your LO.
Mine looks similar. It was from BRU, I used a 20% coupon (or something like that). It was Shermag. We love the glider and ottoman. It is very comfy, and we have kept it clean and are planning on moving it into an office/living room eventually.
We didn't get a glider. We have a rocking chair, but it is too narrow, now that my girl is so tall.
My favorite place to nurse is my armless computer chair, when she was really little I used a boppy and a pillow, now I just use the boppy. I like being able to spin gently from side to side instead of the back and forth motion, it has always worked better for her.

Ours is a hand-me-down, it looks like the brown & oatmeal one above, but it's white w/ green cushions. We rarely use it. It holds clean clothes and diapers that haven't gotten put away yet. And was a nice place to display the quilt that came w/ the crib bedding set before I let DD have a blanket.
I am so glad I didn't buy one, because I know so many moms who are trying to sell theirs and they are pretty impossible to offload. Check CL and you are bound to find at least 10 of them for sale.
As far as the thing getting filthy- ours was used by a mom w/ 2 kids- she might have had the cushions cleaned? I don't know, but it's in fine shape now.
We got ours at BRU and we still use it for bedtimes. I'm not sure how it happened but ours isn't covered with baby spit-up or other baby fluids. We're planning on having another baby at some point, so I'm glad it made it through one baby and will be going strong for a second.
FWIW, I totally agree with a pp - get the nursing stool. We've never used the ottoman, it sits in the corner and holds stuffed animals.

I got ours from The Lil Lamp Shop in Annapolis. It was a gift from my family, but they wanted to make sure I got the one I wanted. I was actually all about going to Toys R Us and getting one, but I decided to take my friends' recommendation about splurging on a glider since it's something they said I would use daily and an awesome one can make all the difference.
We have the one that SHANDA PIP'ed. It is from BRU. I would not have spent that much on a rocker (I am a cheapo!) but it was my Christmas gift from DH when I was pregnant. The matching Ottoman, has a pull out nursing foot stool which is really nice.
He bought it on sale and with a 20% off coupon, which made the ottoman "free."
It is super comfy. I used it all the time when I was pregnant and several times daily for the past year since DD was born.
I was initially worried about the color, but honestly the oatmeal color sort of hides the vomit stains since breast milk and formula are similar to the color of the chair!
I didn't get a glider. My dad had a rocking chair that he got when I was baby, so I took that from him. Just added some new padding for back and bum. I also put a little foot stool.
Re: Where did you get your glider?
This is the one I got. It came in about 5 days after we ordered it and it's sooo comfortable. I love it.
BTW - for me, the ottomon is comfy, but for actual nursing, I really preferred the small wooden nursing stools you can buy - more of footrest really:

walmart.com - "Enchanted Embassy Glider". SO soft and so comfy. I love it.
Someone's getting a little brother!
