OB Recommendations

Hello! I am new to this board. We just found out were were 7 weeks preggers this week! I have been going to an Allina Clinic in Shakopee for the past 4 years for my Thyroid and just routine checkups. We have moved to the Wayzata area about a year ago and because I will be needing to go to the Dr. more frequently I would like to move doctors now. Does anyone have a good OBGYN that is in the Minnetonka/Eden Prarie/Hopkins Area?

    I highly recommend OBGYN West.  They have offices in Minnetonka, EP, and now in Chaska.  I have been seeing Dr. Larson and I love her, but from what I've heard all the doctors there are great.

    Thank you!! I have heard really good things about OBGYN West and that seems like a great location. Now one stupid question (I am so new at this)!! Do they work with specific locations for ultra sounds, delivery, etc. I am assuming they do not do that at their clinics?

    I have had all my ultrasounds done at their Minnetonka clinic, but I believe they also have techs at their other locations (may want to call and double check on that).  I am planning to deliver at Fairview Southdale, but I think they are also doing deliveries at the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.

    Yep - I love OB Gyn West. I saw Dr Grootwassink. He is great. Also liked Dr Pric. Teigen, and Larson.

    They do ultrasonds at all locatons - or use to at least. I delivered at Southdale and it was a good experience.

    I second the recommendation for Dr. Larson at ObGYN West.  Myself and 5 of my friends/family have also seen her throughout their pregnancies and have nothing but good things to say.  At the time I was seeing her 05/10-02/11 she was only delivering at Fairview Southdale.

    I called ObGYN West when I heard they were going to be in the Chaska location to confirm some things.

    At the moment they are NOT doing ultrasounds in the Chaska location until they see how many clients they are going to have at the new building, and the doctors are going to rotate through the Chaska building.   I am not going to go there until they have an ultrasound tech there because during a pregnancy I think it would be annoying to have to go to two different buildings on the same day because the doctor wants to double check something on ultrasound.  I'd prefer to just go to the Eden Prairie office and get it all done at once.

    I see Doctor Princ at OBGYN West and really like her. She delivered my first son and I'm hoping she will deliver my second as well. However, I'd like to deliver at Ridgeview Waconia, but because they just started delivering there, I would get whichever doctor is on call at the time.
