I do not watch this show often.. but I just caught a snippet of an episode..
One of the 3 year olds got second runner up a year or two ago and then again on the ep I was watching and her dad said "are you kidding me, are you telling me that my product has not improved in a year"?
Okay that was not the direct quote but he did refer to his daughter as his PRODUCT!!!
I am so disturbed. I know very little about pageants and things like that so I do not want to judge something I know nothing about... BUT seriously? product?
Re: Toddlers and Tiaras
I love this show.
I have no idea why.
I love this show!! I am actually watching it as we speak. I don't know what it is that draws me in week after week but I just cannot stop. That little Mackenzie... I just love her and while I wouldn't want to have her as my child she sure makes fantastic television.
"Where's my ni-ni?!?!?!"
I never watch even a second of that show because it makes me so mad but I happened to switch it there a bit ago and saw this woman. Spray tan and fake nails on a 15 month old?! I don't think a 10 year old should have it yet alone a 15 month old. Now I remember why I don't even happen to stop on this channel for this show. GRR
I watch the show because I hate the idea so much! I sit and watch in awe and discust!
I dont care what anyone says, that whole atmosphere of pageants is sick for a child until a certain age even if you arent being a bad or "stage" parent. What kindof sick thoughts are these people putting into these little girls(boys) heads? They are being judged on looks and not even their natural looks on that!
I understand if a girl chooses to do that at 12+ or so ON HER OWN, but the little/baby girls, poor little girls.

on a funny note....
I stumbled across this and laughed quite a bit:
It is Tom Hanks and his 'daughter' participating in the sexy baby pageant.
