Discipline book recs please.

My daughter's pediatrician recommended 123 Magic, but from what I read I am not comfortable with the counting approach. I haven't read the book so I could be wrong. Not trying to offend anyone, just trying to get some insight. Could someone offer some insight?

I also just came across The Parenting Doctor by Ann Corwin. Any reviews?

My daughter is 28 months and is a great kid, but lately we have run into some things that could use advice from a trusted parenting guide.

That book totally blew my mind. I wouldn't call it "practical" but it was an amazing read.

I'm reading this right now also and it's awesome! It offers a much different perspective than I've ever really come across.

It's not a discipline book per se, but I really like How to Talk so Kids Will Listen and Listen so Kids Will Talk. It offers really practical advice for kids of all ages and I will definitely be re-reading as DS gets older.
