Finally!! DD's cord stump fell off.

7 freakin' weeks!  Got to be a record.  Now we can finally have bath times that aren't cold sponge baths.
I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

    Wow 7 weeks...that's a long time lol!  My DS is 7 weeks old too and he LOVES bath time.  Have fun bathing your LO!

    Wow you were sponge bathing her for 7 weeks?! I would have washed parts of her in the sink lol and steer clear of the belly button areas! That's awesome it fell off, I am sure you were getting annoyed.

    Maybe my hospital was just INCREDIBLY lenient, but they told us regular baths were ok from the get-go and told us to swab around the base with rubbing alcohol every day, it fell off at 2 weeks.

    Rubbing alcohol is an antiquated treatment.  The current recommendation from most pedis is to do nothing except keep it clean and dry.
