Girls Clothing

Where should I look? I'm looking for cute 0-3 or NB sized dress options for little girl. Where do you find the cute dresses? I can't seem to find anything on Hanna Anderssons site other than casual stuff (but that is likely user error). Gymboree and Crazy 8 had a few cute options, but I haven't found what I really love yet. I did also check out Kohls, JC Penney, Macy's, Old Navy/Gap, and Sears. Where else should I look online?

  • I really like cwdkids.com but I don't know how much they have in that size since I discovered them after DD was older, and DS blew through the small sizes.  They're kind of expensive, but they have decent sales and have some great clearance deals sometimes.

Honestly, I've always shopped mostly at Carter's, Kohl's, and Gymboree.  Costco usually has some cute Carter's stuff.

There are also some really cute tutorials out there and some super cute patterns for sale on etsy since I know you sew a lot.

  • dresses for babies are a PITA - it's hard to hold them, the dress gets all bunched up when you strap them in to anything, and the hem of the dress usually ended up in K's mouth.  K didn't wear a dress aside from her first easter and baptism until she could walk.  The one piece jumpers are much easier.

  • My cousin sent DD a gift from haute baby.  Maybe I live under a rock, but I had never heard of them.  They have a website but I think you have to purchase in store.  It looks like there's a place in cincy that sells their stuff.  I will say however, that I don't want to know what my cousin paid for this outfit (that's how she rolls).  But it is beautiful and DD will look klassy wearing it and her cotton puke-filled bib!!!  :)  I did see some beautiful things on their website.

I was at OUAC the other day and they had TONS of 0-3 and 3-6 month dresses.

Ditto. Anytime I've put either of my girls in a dress as babies, it's just to snap a few photos. :-)

Not to say that it isn't worth doing though. They look so darling in them. Try TJ Maxx. They always have cute girl's clothes IMO.

Agreed, they are cute!  Us women and our impractical clothing.

All of this.  DD wore mainly sleepers the first 3 months or so, it was just too much of a PITA to deal with a dress.  The only time really she wore a dress was at Christmas (she was about 3 mo. then).  TJ Maxx does usually have cute stuff though.

  • Most of our more dressy dresses are from carter's or jcpenney.
  • MIL and SIL were at Khols over the weekend and came back with a huge bag full of little girl stuff. All on clearance. Might want to check there.
  • What do you need the dress for?

I'm tagging items for the twin sale and I have a Cream Silk 0-3 month dress from Gymboree. Katie wore it after she was baptized.

Let me know if you need a special occasion dress.

  • Janie and Jack, Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack...those are pretty much my go-to places besides some mentioned above.
