Re: ~~~Weekly PG Check-In~~~
QOTW: I am surprised that I haven't been sicker (fingers crossed, prayers said).
Update: My dress came in for a wedding I'm in on March 26, and it barely fits. I'm hoping my current bump drops a little in the next 4 weeks so it will fit better. Otherwise I may just have to make it a corset back. Oh, and its red and makes me look like a cupcake. nice.
I haven't done any bump pics because it still just looks like fat. Maybe next week?
Congrats, smb!! PrincessBride, I'm praying for good amnio results, and Boxer, lots of T&P headed your way that you are feeling better and able to come home soon.
QOTW: With my first pregnancy, I was surprised how worried I was. I don't think of myself as a worrier by nature, so I was caught off guard by how intense and persistent the mom-worry can be. With this pregnancy, I was surprised how much sicker I was. I know all pregnancies are different, but it's natural to compare things to what you know, and my first pg was so easy that I didn't expect anything different this time around.
Update: Not a lot this week. Officially in the third tri (and double digits...eek!) and looking forward to our doc appt and sono next Monday!
Momma-view bump pic...even though I'm carrying him a lot lower than I did his sister, looks like boy or girl, I carry my babies way out front!
Thanks for the love ladies. My EDD is 9/23. No guess on gender for now.
This time around I've been surprised that I haven't felt as bad as last time. I was actually expecting it to be worse b/c I know so many mommas whose second pregnancy was worst than the first.
I feel like I already look 4 months pregnant, its depressing. I'm in the no mans land of clothes, a lot of my regular clothes that I thought would get me through these first few months are already getting too tight and I'm not big enough for maternity clothes yet. I have to dress up for work right now and it sucks. We go for our NT scan in two weeks and I'm looking forward to that. I think it will be too early for a gender guess, but I'm still going to beg.
QOTW- Nothing really, just that each pregnancy can be so different.
Update- nothing really new here, 7 weeks today. I was told last week I could come in any time this week for another peek, but I'm okay without it. I have my first real appt with Dr Seeker on Tuesday. Still really nauseous, and nothing seems to work. Just eating with S made me feel tons better, but that's not working this time. The extreme weakness I had with DS is starting to set in, too. YUCK. I hate 1st tri so so much. Boxer, you're constantly in my thoughts- I can't imagine what you are going through.
My info for the list:
PrincessBrideSarah EDD 8/8/11
QOTW: That I haven't ever thrown up with any of my pregnancies. I was also surprised by how extremely exhausted I was for the first trimester.
Update: I had the amnio and am now awaiting results. The FISH will be in by the end of the week. Full results will take 7 working days, which feels like an eternity.
The amnio was worse than I was expecting. I was told that it would be just "pressure." Um, no, definitely some pain involved, but it didn't last very long.
AlieSlavin - EDD 8/14/11
I have no clue what the sex is. Sometimes I think girl, sometimes boy. I can't wait to find out!
QOTW: Feeling so nauseous. Neither my Mom or Aunt got nauseous at all with their pregnancies so I was expecting to be the same, but I wasn't. I was nauseous most of the time for the first 3 months. Still am occasionally.
QOTW: I've been surprised by how good I've felt. Aside from minor aches and pains, my body has seemed to really like being pregnant. Until getting a cold this week however...so I guess I should also say I'm surprised by how sick even something minor like a cold can make you. Because this one has really knocked me on my butt.
Update: Had my 37 week appt this morning, with zero progress, probably because baby's butt-down instead of head down and still carrying pretty high. I think I've been in denial about how close we're getting to the end, but when the doc told me today that if she doesn't turn, we'll do a c/s, it occurred to me that it would be scheduled for two weeks from now. Two weeks!! We don't have a pediatrician picked out yet...I guess we need to get on that. And prep for leaving work...guess it's time to start really handing off my big projects/responsibilities. Yikes!

QOTW: I am surprised how much alike both my pregnancies have been. I have not had any morning sickness or other issues to speak of. I am very lucky that my body handles pregnancy so well.
Update:I am still pregnant and there is nothing happening. I declined to have an internal yesterday so I don't know if I am dialated or not. I have had a few random contractions but nothing to make me stop in my tracks. I am ready to have this baby but I know that I could be pregnant for another 2 weeks and I am okay with that.
I don't have a contact person but I would be greatful if someone wanted to updated the board for me.
Congrats smb29 and continued t&p to boxer & princessbride.
and good luck clynn! and rssn, i love your weekly bump posts!
QOTW: I was suprised with how much earlier i felt this baby move than with my first pregnancy. I know they say you feel the second one earlier, but i started feeling him at 16 weeks were with DD it wasn't until almost 21 weeks.
Updates: none really, still feeling really good with no complaints!
QOTW: I've been surprised by how long its taken to feel baby really move. granted i have an anterior placenta which i had never heard of before getting PG. but i can still barely feel baby move which is disappointing cause its what i looked forward to most about being PG.
Updates: None really. Can't remember if i posted last week after my appt or not but baby was looking good. I had my last ultrasound (barring something strange/out of the ordinary coming up that calls for one)... time is flying!!!
I *did* finally pick a nursery "theme." well colors i guess its not really a themed room. i feel relieved now that i've made that decision!
Congrats smb29 and t&p to clynn and boxer!
QOTW: I am surprised that I haven't been sick, surprised by how I can lose 3 pounds but absolutely all of my clothes are now too tight, surprised that I am hungry all.the.time, and mostly surprised by the crazy aches and pains in my hips that sometimes shoot down to my ankles. That is my least favorite part of pregnancy for sure. I am also kind of surprised by how many single men like to give pregnant women advice.
UPDATE: We decided not to find out the gender of the baby, which I'm really excited about! Started buying a few things here and there and actually ordered a crib last night. EEK! I feel like it is so incredibly early for that, but it was on clearance and therefore really cheap. Plus it's the only one we've seen that we like. Still nervous about buying it but whatever. I fianlly bought some maternity clothes this weekend. Where have stretchy waist jeans been all of my life? They are fabulous!
I am also surprised that I haven't missed drinking in the least.
Update: I had an appointment today and heard the heartbeat with the Doppler. It was really exciting and she found it as soon as she put it on my belly. I am also exciting to be in the second trimester and look forward to what it has in store! I haven't taken any bump pics since I don't have any bump yet.
Congrats smb and t&p for pbsarah and boxer!
QOTW - Nothing has surprised me more so far other than the fact that I am pregnant. That was such a shock everything else falls by the wayside!
Update - Had my NT Scan today and it went great! I hope this little one remains cooperative. It got into the right position right away for the neck measurement (unlike S, she took about 35 minutes to settle down) and then started the moving and wiggling. We saw the legs, feet, arms, hands, stomach, bladder, a heart rate of 169 bpm, and everything looks really good. Tech did not take a guess at the sex, but I'm ok with it. FWIW, I didn't see a dangle of ANYTHING.
They have me as 12 w 3 d, baby was measuring 12 w 6 d. Whoohoo!!
Dx with endo & blocked left tube - TTC #1 for 29 cycles before miracle BFP, #2 - Surprise!!
My TTC/PG blog / Panda Phenomenon Explained
Will continue to keep princess and boxer in my T&Ps.
QOTW: The surprise to me has been round ligament pain. It is horrid!
Update: Dr S put me on bed rest. My blood pressure has been elevated and the swelling is outrageous in my cankles. But both girls look great! Hopefully not working will make my "body" happy and i get to keep my girls in until 38 weeks.
EDD 8/12/11, not sure if it's a boy or girl yet. We have our US on March 23rd to find out and I'm not sure if we are yet, I want to but hubby is unsure.
