One of the 7 B's of AP is Balance. From Dr. Sears:
"In your zeal
to give so much to your baby, it's easy to neglect the needs of yourself
and your marriage. As you will learn the key to putting balance in your
parenting is being appropriately responsive to your baby ? knowing when
to say "yes" and when to say "no," and having the wisdom to say "yes"
to yourself when you need help."
What have you done to maintain balance this past week?

Re: Balance Check In
I'm on week 2 of STD. I'm supposed to go back to work March 1st, but I'm hopeful my doctor will extend me.
I've had a good balance week. Due to a cold/sinus infection, I wasn't able to go to yoga class or get my massage, but I was able to get out for a couple of hours by myself a few times last week, & that's really all I need to feel refreshed right now. I've been going to bed an hour earlier so I can read a bit & relax & that's also helped.
I started a project that has been on the kitchen table for about a month, and I'm making great progress. I'm sewing a MT, and it reminds me how much I love doing things when I can kind of let my mind drift a little. Very relaxing.
I've taken a week of PTO, I'm going to spend the first 2 days finsihing all outstanding paperwork (if coop allows it), then spend some quality time with my little guy! If his RSV improves, I might finally get that hair cut I so desperately need!
