I spoke to the mom today. After some further discussions about it with DH and some of my other mom friends, I decided to ask the mom if we could plan a standing playdate once a week instead of the kids just showing up randomly. I came right out and said it was hard on my nanny watching 4 kids, especially with one of them being an infant, and while we loved that the kids could play together and I didn't want that to end, we would like it to be more structured and planned. She was totally on board with that and even offered to come over herself to help watch the four kids when she is able (she works at home and has a flexible schedule). She was very understanding and nice about the whole thing and admitted she'd asked her dad if it was okay that the kids were going over here all the time - she also admitted she hadn't really stopped to think about my nanny having four kids all by herself. She also invited my nanny to bring Ellie over anytime she wanted to play at their house.
I felt really great about the conversation. I'd been pretty nervous that somehow she'd be offended, and I even had a dream about it last night that she got mad at me, LOL. But everything was cool. Thanks for all the great advice!!
