IBS Ladies

I'm just wondering how everyone is doing.  I've had some issues that are not typical with the slowed digestive track from being pregnant but don't want to take anything and have the other issue.  I apparently can't drink milk this pregnancy, but will double check it with my dr at my appt on Friday.

So how is everyone else doing?

Re: IBS Ladies

  • I have only had one stomach spasm during the pg. Thank goodness. I normally have spasms everyday but much better now. Still alot of IBS though.

  • I've got Ulcerative colitis, and unfortunately it's not been good for me so far, I don't think my digestion has slowed down yet.. I've still got the daily game of digestive roulette here. But I've been taking chewable benefibers every day & that's really helped to keep everything moving. I have had some probs w/ hyperemesis as well, and it seems like milk/ dairy as a whole is making it worse. I thought that I was the only one with the dairy issue!!

Positive thoughts for all of you!!

  • Thankfully, one of my 'as needed' meds is still safe during pregnancy. The problem is I never know if it's the pregnancy or my IBS flaring up. I also have a total gamble of how things are going to come out for the day. Totally constipated or smooth sailing? ugh. I find dairy hasnt' been the greatest thing, but I seem to be tolerating it better than before I was pregnant. I'm not having nearly as many stomach pains as normal.
