Long story short, My mom and I have been going to our hairdresser for 15 years. My sister started going in the last 5. We always go together because we don't get much opportunity to bond just the 3 of us. Anyway, my mom has been wanting to go to someone else because our current hairdresser never cuts our hair how we ask. Most recent example I tried 4 time to get a cetain haircut, (think Victoria Beckham, short in the back, angled and longer in the front) and it hasn't even been close. So my mom took me to a new salon and try to fix it and the girl did a fantastic job.
My mom decided to make an appointment for the three of us to go to this new salon instead but she is so nervous about breaking up with our hairdresser. Any suggestions on the best way to do this?
Re: NBR. How do you break up with your hairdresser?
Unfortunately we have to say something, she is more of a friend to my mom and and knows my Aunt and Grandma as well. I think my mom just feels bad not saying anything at all.

Hmm well I am a huge wuss, it took me 2 days to work up the courage to break up with my doctor, so I am no help. Tough situation, maybe you can tell her the new hair dresser is your BFF who just got a job and you want to support her? Sorry I am grasping at straws here.
I had to do this TOO!
The salon I went to for over 10 years (same girl) is too far and became too expensive...
My colorist from that salon opened up his own salon about 10 minutes from my house and now i"m going to him for cut & color.
I feel like I'm cheating on Gail (my old colorist) but I just stopped going there.... sad but true.
I feel your pain.
