20 week ultrasound this moring!

We've got one very healthy baby in there!! The tech checked all vital organs, gave me thumbs up on everything. We got to see yawns, a full tummy (apparently amniotic fluid is the breakfast of champions!), helathy kidneys - nothing but great news.

The tech was a male so he and my husband bonded quickly. So we were sent home with 8 ultrasound pictures (in addition to the CD movie of the whole scan). Of the 8 pictures, 3 of them are of....BOY JUNK!! I've got 3 penis shots of my healthy baby boy - and hubby is determined to get a blow up of one of them to put on the wall....just what we need: Fetus porn...LOL Only kidding. About the porn I mean.

To be honest, I was really nervous about the scan. I've been trying to not read too much online about people's results - so often people post about their problems and I was determined to try and NOT worry. It didn't work much. I ended up in tears when the tech was narrating the heart measurements. I was just so relieved to hear all the positive things he was saying. I had dread in my heart, it's hard NOT to worry, it's one of the downsides of being "mature" and informed.

But I'm relieved. The worst news we got was that he's breech right now. But with 19 weeks to go and still plenty of room (relatively speaking), he can still turn - several more times even!

He'll be named after my husband but we'll call him Trey (my husband's a jr. so this is LHC III)

That sounds like a great scan! Congrats and welcome to team blue! We have a couple of those boy junk porn shots, too. :-)

And amen to this statement. I've been better since being able to feel him move, but I still worry a whole lot (esp when I read the sad stories of losses, even on my due date month board)!
