I have been having an increasing amount of nausea during the afternoon the past few days. We're traveling on a cruise at the end of the week. Even though I have never had a problem with sea sickness, I thought it would be a good idea to pick up Sea Bands when I was at the store.
I put them on earlier and it is amazing! No nausea at all. Those of you with persistent nausea and queasiness should try them. Look for them next to the dramamine.
Re: Sea Bands are amazing!
I got them at a regular grocery store. They were right next to the dramamine in the pharmacy section.
From the sea band website:
In the USA Sea-Band is available to buy from CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid, Duane Reade, Meijers, Walmart, HEB and most independant drugstores nationally.
I'm pretty sure they're at Target as well, but we picked them up at Harris Teeter.
Sorry, I was just so excited when I read this that I immediately had to ask you before I even looked. Now I have been proactive and called my local Walgreens. They have them! Unfortunately, there is no way I would've gotten there in time since they closed at 10pm. So, I'll have to leave work for a few minutes in the morning to get these--there is no way I can pass up an opportunity to feel better. Hope it works for me!
Thanks for the tip!
Yes, they opened up a big store in Columbia a few years back. Since then, they've opened up a few in Maryland and DC. I think they're trying to compete with the Wegman's that have been moving into the area recently. We really like our Harris Teeter, the customer service and selection is much better than our other grocery stores.
I tried sea Bands they didn't work for me either. I was put on Zofran that helped I think sea bands may work for some people though. I even throw up 1-2 a day with zofran but that beats 4-6 times a day!!
Oh wow, that's terrible. I was having mild nausea and queasiness and never threw up, but the sea bands really made my mild nausea go away. I have a feeling it wouldn't do much for that kind of awful m/s. I really hope it never gets that bad for me, I am awful about puking. Are you taking Zofran now?
Ditto the PPs who said Sea Bands aren't working for them. I'm still wearing them, but I don't really feel like they're doing anything.
Glad to hear they're working for some of you though!
