We started with our new RE January and have went thru all testing like we did a year ago. 2 weeks ago we recieved our results and had to retest two things, he was concerned about my FSH levels and DH's morphology. I got the call today and i'm very excited but again there is nothing to fix bc everything is perfect but were still not concieving.

DH results

Volume must be 2 = DH equal 2.3

Density must be 20 million= DH is 139 million

Motility must be 50%=DH was 72%

Morphology must be 4%=DH was 15%

So from what i understand those are pretty awesome results. We werent hoping for somthing to be wrong but i think we were kind of hoping they would find something so we could try fixing something. right now we have nothing to fix besides keep trying. so we will start injections with iui.

Do these seem like good results to you guys?

Considering my DH has less then 10 mil for volume and less then 1% morph I think those numbers ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know sometimes you just want something to be wrong so it can be fixed, I can totally understand that, but be happy he has good sperm, because the fixes aren't fun and dont usually work unfortunately.

Do they have any other ideas what could be the issue? How long have you been trying? The ladies on this board will be able to help you more if you give us some more history.

it will be 3 years in april that we have been trying. went thru a year of clomid with 3 iui's, next step is injectons with iui's

Are you seeing an RE?

That would be the best recommendation I can give you!

If you don't have any hormonal/PCOS/etc issues then in theory the injections should work.

But a lot of things in theory don't.

I wish you all the luck. The girls on here are very helpful. If you do an intro post with your history and what testing you have had done, etc they will welcome you with open arms!

Those look great to me. I am unexplained IF. I know how frustrating it can be. We have been told we are "perfect" on paper. My RE said sometimes there are no answers. Not what a girl wants to hear. GL!!!!

I don't know much about the results but I wanted to tell you that I'm really sorry for what's going on with you. I am "unexplained" as well and it totally sucks. I hate that there isn't a fix for what's wrong with me (and it's me b/c DH's SA came back great).

Good luck getting this all figured out. I hope you find the answers you need and you get a BFP soon!

Unexplained sucks. all IF sucks actually.

Those numbers look great! way better than my DHs!

Have they ran all the tests on you too? have you had a lap?

I think that maybe that is what did it for me - to have my endometriosis diagnosed and removed.

In all fairness, it's very hit or miss trying to overcome a male factor-. That's why I really really wanted the problem to be me- because the doctors can do a lot more fixes on the female reproductive system.

We have severe male factor infertility and two urologists and our RE concur there's nothing to fix. The numbers are really awful but there's no reason for them to be

The numbers look good though, I'm sorry there weren't more answers.

kelfeen- ya ive had all the testing done also, twice we both had testing done in 2010 and 2011 bc we switched RE's in the area. And both sides are good. Back the beginning of Jan with our new RE he said he didnt think at all weight had anything todo with it (bc i weighed 94lbs) but was still ovulating and getting a period routinely but he had me meet with a nutrionist! im now up to 97lbs!
