For my shower on Sunday I got a Tiffany Necklace
and while it is very nice and VERY thoughtful with the price of that necklace I could get a lot of other baby stuff. It was from a cousin that I rarely see so she wouldn't notice if I didn't have it on. What would you do?
Re: WWYD?
I hate "Mom" jewelry...
It would go back.
I am not even sure of their return policy though...
JAR took the words out of my mouth. i would try to either get some money back... but you may only be able to either exchange or get store credit...
I just wanted to say that is a really nice gift from a cousin you don't see very often! My cousin that I see all the time bought me a dishwasher basket for the bottles and a pack of onesies! LOL
I don't think I would return it...I always feel bad/tacky for returning things just on the off chance that the person that gave it to me would notice!!
good luck, this is a tough one!
Sadly - even with a receipt they will give you a store credit. We got random crap from there for our wedding and that is all we could do.
They do have other baby stuff...
We exchanged ours for crystal beer mugs we keep in the freezer - we didn't want them anyway and think they are funny.
Yeah, I'm w/ JAR. I don't need jewelry saying "mom" on it!
I'd take it back. I got a couple duplicate gifts from my registry. 2 high chairs and 2 baby monitors. My mom commented on that we could just let her have them for when the baby is at her house.
For the high chair, yes, I might do that. But the monitor we got is expensive and we got it specifically because of how our house is set up. I'm returning the double one to get other stuff that we need and didn't get. She can go get a less expensive one for their house!!

Ditto. I told DH right away not to bother with any of the mom, birthstone, etc. stuff. I would rather just have nice jewelery that's simple and classic.
Pivey-
I don't have a reciept...can I just send it back and exchange it?
Bummer - I don't know. But my guess it they will just give you the gift card either way. Sorry "mom"!
