72 hrs of labor

Where do I even begin lol. It was my first baby and was eager to go through the labor and birthing process. My water broke on a Wed. at 7am. I called the doc. at 8 (when the office open) and the office replied with "Wait until you have consistent contractions if you don?t' within the next 24hrs call our office back."

Sure enough I wasn't having consistent contractions so the next morning Thursday I called the office again and was told then to come in at 10am to see if it was my water. I went in and of course it was my water and my doctor told that I could go home and wait until I start having consistent contractions or go to the hospital to be induced. Of course I went to the hospital. About 12pm I was induced. I was only dilated to a 1 when I went in and about 4-6 hrs into it I don't really remember I begged for the epidural. I was then dilated to a 2 but in full hard labor. They gave it to me but of course not without having problems. They had to numb me twice, that big huge needle in my back twice.

Friday rolled around and still no progress. I was miserable and there was nothing much I could do. My baby was stable so it was a waiting game. Finally I started dilating, 3,4, and so on. Finally my baby girl arrived.

It was an interesting experience and I hope that everyone else out there has a better experience then what I did. To say the least I changed my doc. so that I wouldn't have another experience like that again. With my second baby 7hrs in labor 10min pushing. That?s it.

GOOD LUCK!
