++ SK ++ re baby names

I got so many comments from people about Evelyn before we had her.  One of my cousins actually siad, "Ewww... Evelyn.  What will you call her?"

My brother named his newborn son Otis.  He and his wife's wedding song was an old Otis Redding song.  A lot of the people in the family gave them the side-eye for about 2 minutes.  Now "Baby Odey" is just another part of the family.

It sounds like you have the right attitude!  If you love it, who cares what the nay-sayers think.  In a month or two people will get used to it and then they will come to love it because they will love HIM.

Congratulations on picking a name!!  I am looking forward to hearing it once your LO is born.

    This is exactly why we are keeping the name a secret! We figure it will be so much harder to argue with a name when it's attached to that cute face! And it's not that weird, so I think once people are used to it, it will be no biggie. I can't wait! :)
