Hi Ladies! I'm currently on 30 mg of cymbalta (down from 60 mg pre pregnancy) daily which is the dose my dr. wants to keep me on through the rest of the pregnancy and after. I really want to try to breastfeed LO, but everything I've read and heard said not to on cymbalta. Is anyone breastfeeding while on an anti-depressant, cymbalta or otherwise? Was anyone on cymbalta and switched to a different anti depressant that worked just as well?
Re: Breastfeeding while on an anti-depressant
When I decided to start taking meds, I called DD's pedi to check to see if I could BF while on Celexa (I think that was it). Each medication is rated. Mine was a lower level and I could BF - but decided not to after the nurse said that DD could act a little sleepy.
I'd call the pedi. Tell them what you are on and see what they say about it and BF.
This doesn't specifically mention Celexa, but I still hope it helps:

This one mentions Celexa, but it sounds like you already know this:

Would you feel comfortable trying one of the other meds?
