Crittenton Hospital for delivery?
Hi ladies.
We will be moving to the Oxford area in a month from the west side of the state and I was wondering if anyone had delivered at Critenton Hospital? I was hoping to find someplace that was a bit smaller and personal, yet could still handle an emergency if need be.
Also if anyone has any recommendations on OBs and Peds that would be wonderful too.

Yes - SUCH an amazing hospital. I can't say enough about it. I really had a great experience. My daughter was in the NICU for 30 hours and the people there are the most compassionate, caring nurses I have ever met.
I go to Contemporary OBGYN - they have offices in Oxford, Rochester Hills and Washington Twp. ( I go to the Rochester one even though I live in Oxford. I see Dr. Goulding and she also delivered DD. I highly recommend any of the doctors there - they are so great and passionate people and they really listen.
I have recommended them on this board before and the people that have use them really like them too.

I got a recommendation from my friend who lives in Oxford about a ped right in downtown. Glennan Medical Group - Dr. Wissman. 248-628-2233. We see both Dr. Wissman and Dr. Jacob and love them the same.Dr. Wissman can book up pretty quick - she is that good so I would recommend setting up appts. in advance. We have gotten same day appts when my daughter was sick and they are very receptive to your and your child's needs. The doctors there have Crittenton privileges and are able to go to the hospital after your baby is born to double check and discharge your baby. That was great that Dr. Wissman was able to do that.
I am a big people person so it was important to me that my doctors and my daughter's really cared about us - not just our $$$ - they are very patient and I seriously can not say one bad thing about them.
I delivered there in April of 2008. We have since moved. I had a wonderful experience. Amazing nurses. We also wanted a smaller hospital. It helped that we lived within walking distance, too.
My OB was Bridget Lorenz. Our Pediatrician was William Chung (who is the chief pediatrician at Crittenton).

Oakland Macomb OB Gyn has an office on Lapeer Road in Auburn Hills or Lake Orion-it's not too far from Oxford. They deliver out of Troy Beaumont hospital. I love that practice!
I delivered both of my boys at crittenton and i love the hospital. all the nurses and doctors are just wonderful. I go to Contemporary Obstetrics and Gynecology in rochester. and I see Dr. Brian Reedy there. but all the doctors and staff at that office are so nice. love them all.
for pediatricians. i take my boys to Kids 1st Pediatrics, its right down the road from Crittenton as well. I see Dr. Operti there, fantastic office. Before i went there, I was taking my oldest to Northeast Pediatrics. Also a fantastic drs office. (i only switched due to insurance issues, not because of the drs)
