How to label pacifier and toy for DC?

My LO goes to a Kids Day Out once a week. They said I need to label his soothie pacifier and seahorse. Where/how do you label? I was thinking a sharpie on the pacifier and on the tag of the toy. But he chews on all parts of the paci and loves sucking on tags. Sharpie says non-toxic, but wdyt?

Re: How to label pacifier and toy for DC?

  • I bought a cheap passy strap and sharpied his name on it. DS daycare doesnt allow anything besides his passy to come (ok well a blanket but no toys or anything)

  • Could you write on the seahorse's belly? Not pretty I know, but it isn't a part they can fit in their mouths.

Not cheap, but the only thing I found that works really well. The Sharpie wore off of her bottles in no time, so I assume it would do the same on the pacifier (no mention of the scariness of putting permanent marker in the mouth).

     I got this pack: https://namebubbles.com/labelpack/daycare-labels.html

And the Bitty Bubbles fit on the outside of the paci perfectly. I also put one on Sophie's belly since she can't eat that part.

  • I tried to label his soothie with a sharpie, and it rubs right off.  Its like some anti-sharpie mysterious material! lol

Also- I know our daycare wouldn't allow pacifier clips/rope things.  choking hazard I guess.   I still haven't found a solution.  His paci is different than everyone else's and so far they've let me get away with it!  I'm curious to the solution people find, too!

This.  I got the daycare pack as well.  I love them!  The only thing is that I don't have a real use for the larger labels (at least not that I've found).  The containers we send food in are take n toss containers.  So they aren't meant for long term use.  I guess if I get "permanent" food containers for DS, then I could use them then.  Anyway, the little bubble labels work perfect for pacis.  And they fit on the tag of blankets or toys.  There's no getting them off once they are on so I would feel comfortable if DS decided to chew on the tag of one of his toys.

Yea, I'm figuring the super big ones may be useful when she has a lunchbox and stuff?  I use the medium ones on her bottle coolers, too. The feet ones will be fun once she actually wears shoes.
