Injection Site Reaction - Anyone get rashes?

So tonight was day 2 of stimming with a menopur, follistim and lupron cocktail for me. And just like last night I developed a little rash at the injection site that was super itchy for a few minutes after the injection and was red for about a half hour. before it returned to a normal skin color

Has anyone had a minor skin reaction like this?  I'm not having any other side effects but I plan on calling my nurse in the morning to discuss with her.  Praying this isn't going to screw us up.

Re: Injection Site Reaction - Anyone get rashes?

  • Yup.  I am allergic to aluminum and possibly some other metals.  I have trouble with lot of deodorants, jewelery and stuff.  When I was using the generic syringes they gave me a small rash.  I called my RE and they gave me a different kind and it was fine.  Just give your RE a call and see if they have a different needle you can try.

  • I have gotten an itchy rash from Menopur/Repronex.  My RE said it was a common reaction, but just let your RE know what side effects you are experiencing.  I also have gotten a little lump (size of a marble) under the skin that goes away after I massage in the med.  Thank goodness they only last a few minutes, it's so annoying.  GL with the rest of your stimming!
