Texas Babies

visiting with16 month old

Hello ladies! Dh, my mom, DS and I will be coming to San Antonio the end of April (4/28-5/1). I was wondering what you'd suggest as fun things to do with DS. We are staying on the Riverwalk at the Drury Inn& Suites, doing the River Walk (Dh & I already did this, but my mom wants to as well as the Alamo) and then Sea World and the Japanese Tea Gardens. Any other suggestions since IMO, the river walk/Alamo & most likely tea gardens won't take all day even if all done on the same day. I had thought about 6 flags but have not heard good things at all about it. Plus that isn't something Ds will enjoy yet.TIA

  • The tea garden is right by the zoo, so you should definitely visit that.  I'm sure your DS would have a blast there - they have a little train you guys can ride too.  If you want a pretty place to walk around, the botanical gardens is lovely.

    have fun! :)

  • I second the zoo.  It's the perfect size to go and visit for a few hours you feel like you've seen everything after a few hours.   They have a toddler area that is fantastic with a big open field, a camping area, and a river area they can wade in.

There's a children's musuem downtown which has a toddler area in it which is fun though it's a little.

  • There's the old Kiddie Park on Broadway that's got all the retro rides geared towards smaller kids. My DS loves it! The Witte has the children's museum. We went to the Botanical Gardens 2 weeks ago & although there's not much blooming, it was great for the kids to just run around & burn off some energy.
