newborn photos - vent

We had a professional photographer come to our house today to take newborn photos of Ellen.  More than an hour before she arrived DD was hungry so I fed her.  She finished, I burped her and she fussed for about an hour.  15 minutes before the photographer was to arrive DD was hungry again so I fed her again.  She wouldn't fall asleep.  The photographer was here for over 2 hours and the whole time Ellen was rooting/eating/general fussy/awake.  The photographer felt bad for us and is coming back in a couple of days to take more since we didn't get more than two poses and even those are questionable.  

After the photographer left a couple of friends came to visit.  DD ate and I was pretty sure she would fall asleep since she'd been up all day.  Nope.  Spit up all over me and my friend.  They were here an hour.  After they left DH took DD and I went to sleep.  It was almost an hour before she fell asleep.  That means DD was awake a total of 5 hours in a row.  She's not even 3 weeks old!  I mean, I love seeing her awake and all, but not exhausted.  I just felt bad for her. 

She's sleeping now and just beautiful!

    My DD does that some days too... just wants to be awake for 3-5 hours! Sometimes she wont even cry unless it's time to eat, I normally just put her on her little activity mats til she gets really fussy, I think sometimes she's just bored.
