"Surprise" Work Shower

When I first announced my pg at work, all of the women were making a huge deal about it, even ones I hardly know that work on a different floor. The all said they couldn't wait to throw me a shower and still ask me about my pg all the time, but nobody has mentioned a shower. I came to the dreadful realization that they are probably planning a surprise shower.

Tonight, I was talking to my boss and she told me she just got the invitation to my shower. She hadn't read the whole invitation yet and she felt bad for ruining the surprise so I didn't ask her when it was. I guess I better make sure I look cute every day at work for the next two months (lol-that is not going to happen)!

    Maybe you could ask your boss, since she already blew the surprise, just to give you a heads up on the date, so you can look nice?  I honestly don't understand why people do surprise showers.  It's not nice to startle pregnant ladies!
