How perfect, yes, these are a little backwards in our home. I've been with my fiance Jeff for 5 years and engaged for 4 years. Jeff was diagnosed with colon cancer just before his 38th birthday and two weeks after we were engaged. After receiving chemo and radiation for 6 weeks the surgeon was able to remove all of the cancer and was given very good odds. Of course I immediately started planning the wedding celebration and the save the dates went out, unfortunately the timing was not right and we postponed the wedding. It was heartbreaking for me but I felt that he was just not ready, so I waited and waited. Now 4 years later we finally set the date for Mandalay Bay's Vista Suite for an "En Suite" wedding and cocktail reception, most of the planning is complete save for a few details, which I have been trying to complete but recently found out that the "stomach flu" that kept me down for an entire week is not a virus, I'm 6 weeks pregnant! OMG, they had to peel me off the exam table at the doctors office last Friday and it still feels so unreal, except for my continuous nausea and fatigue. It's been 20 years since I'd had my daughter whose grown and out of the house. We have a beautiful second home in Lake Havasu and we just bought a new boat last summer! We sooo were not expecting this at all but know that it's a miracle. I had to take fertility drugs to get pregnant the first time and with Jeff's chemo and radiation we figured that we'd just be the couple in our group of friends that get's to play with the kids and give 'em back at the end of the day. We are taking it one step at a time and enjoying the prospect of a new life and a new begining is so many ways.
