How Early Could You Use Your Boba?

I've seen descriptions of the Boba that recommend it as a carrier for ages 1 and up, or for 15 pounds and over.  If your LO hit 15 pounds before age 1, did you begin using a Boba carrier?  I have a Moby wrap, which I don't expect to last me too long, and am looking into buying a ring sling that would last until LO fits in the Boba, but I'm not sure how long to expect that to be.

    My baby is 6 months at 22 lbs. (yep he is a chubby lil boy:) and I purchased a Boba that I plan to use as soon as it arrives. You can probably contact the vendor that plan on purchasing it from to get their opinion too.

    It's not really only the weight you have to think of because most babies will hit 15 lbs before 1. My guy is only in the 25% for weight and 18lbs at 10 months. It's the straddle position they are in on you with their legs open and how wide the carrier is. It's not really comfy for them to be completely spread eagle without their knees being able to bend. Plus when that happens they can't get a very proper seat in the carrier also resulting in not comfy for them and for you. It's honestly one of those things that just differs between child and wearer. There are good options for an SSC for a younger baby before 1. I have a pikkolo and the width on the bottom where their tush goes is adjustable it is usuable from birth for that reason and the becco Gemini is the same HTH.
