About your question about the baby socks getting lost in the washer..... I had to call a repair company to come out and take the washer apart and they were only able to retrieve one sock for me. The rest are gone forever. It caused my washer to stop working altogether! Cost me $200 to get it fixed and find out what caused it. I got a mesh bag at Walmart yesterday, so I'll be putting all small items in that from now on!

  • When we had our washer repaired once they person said that lost baby socks are one of the #1 causes for breaking the thing that spins the washer......

we use the mesh bags as well for all the itty bitty stuff. and we stopped filling our washer so much too :)

  • Makes me wonder.....I'm missing one tiny sock and I can't for the life of me find it.  But I was looking at it yesterday and there aren't any holes big enough in it for a sock to fit, even a tiny one.  Hmmmm.....maybe the dryer ate it then?

This reminds me of that episode of Family Guy when the "dryer knomes" took his sock to Narnia....

"Give me my sock back, you goat bastard"  hahahahahahahaha

if you've never seen it, then just ignore that last part.  LOL!

  • Oh and definitely getting those mesh bags.  I might actually have one...I'll have to look.
  • Apparently, small things float to the top during the washing process and that's when they get pulled in between the machine and the tub getting sucked into some part that causes the machine to clog and stop spinning.
  • We have an HE washer/dryer, so it doesn't fill up with water.  Can it still get stuck that way?
  • I don't know.... I wonder where your sock is??? Now I'm curious.
