Lovenox Question

Hey ladies! I have been on lovenox since my FET which was 2/1 & was curious if you get monitored while you are on it. I know that the dr knows what she is doing but just wondered if at some point my blood could become too thin or if my dosage may need to be increased.

Are you all monitored? TIA ladies!!

    The only monitoring I've had is a factor Xa test on the 7th (which reminds me I need to find out the results..) to see how my levels were since the umbilical artery was starting to look crappy.

    They don't generally monitor it, as far as I know.   

    DD1(4):VSD & PFO (Closed!), Prenatal stroke, Mild CP, Delayed pyloric opening/reflux, Brachycephaly & Plagiocephaly, Sacral lipoma, Tethered spinal cord, Compound heterozygous MTHFR, Neurogenic bladder, Urinary retention & dyssynergia, incomplete emptying, enlarged Bladder with Poor Muscle Tone, EDS-Type 3. Mito-Disorder has been mentioned

    DD2(2.5): Late term premie due to PTL, low fluid & IUGR, Reflux, delayed visual maturation, compound heteroygous MTHFR, PFAPA, Bilateral kidney reflux, Transient hypogammaglobulinemia, EDS-Type 3

    I have my levels checked once a month.  There is a range that you need to be in to be considered at the right level to prevent clots but not stop you from clotting and bleeding too much.

    Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

    Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

    *clicked on the wrong board, but going to answer anyway**

     this is my 2nd pregnancy on Lovenox, and I have never had my levels checked.  I do go to my MFM routinely for u/s's but never had a blood draw.  I do know when I had my son, through a scheduled C, they did have to push me back an hour while waiting for blood...so maybe they wre checking my levels?  something I need to ask.....

    According to my hemo, it depends on whether you're on a prophylactic dose or a full dose. He only monitors if you're on a full dose using the anti Xa test.

    TTC for 3 years. Finally successful after 5 IUIs and 2 cycles of IVF. Our amazing twins were born 5 weeks early on 8/16/11. Found out April 2012 that our di/di twins are ID.

    This is my second pg on blood thinners. Right now because I am at a therapeutic level I am only getting checked every 6 weeks. Before this I was 4 weeks.

    I'm on a preventive does, and they check once a month though I could swear they were going to check less often moving forward (I am 18 weeks right now). I also have a few extra growth u/s scheduled.

    I only was checked when on Coumadin, not since I've been on Lovenox.  I wondered the same thing about people getting checked or not so this was interesting to read :)
