I have been looking for a maternity training swimsuit, but I cannot find anything. You would think that Speedo or TYR would make something. I just want a sit with more room in the belly - no skirts or anything...
I had the same exact problem! I ended up getting a tankini, and ordered bottoms separately. I ordered a pair of roll-top-boy-short bottoms. I am always a fan of boy-short bottoms, so I ordered these:
I couldn't find anything, either. To compound the issue, I have a really long torso and couldn't find anything long enough. Here's what I ended up getting:
It's not technically a bathing suit, but it's been working great for me. I picked up a pair of black maternity bathing suit bottoms to wear with it. The whole thing cost less than $35.
Warning - the tank is really long. If you have a short torso, it would probably be uncomfortable. They do have it in the store, so you can try it on before you buy.
Saving money while raising more kids than you bargained for!
I'm having trouble finding anything that will cope with heavy use - I swim almost every day. For non-maternity I stick with Speedo's Endurance+, after an experience with a standard fabric suit that deteriorated very quickly - apparently they're only tested to something like 50 hours in treated water. I expect my swimsuit to last a little longer than that, thank you!
I've seen a number of tankinis that would probably fit my new shape, but I'm wary of them going see-through after a few weeks in the water!
I talked to TummyStyle.com and here's what I found out on exercise maternity swimwear.
Prego makes the Empire Maternity Tank which is very supportive and a good choice for swimming. Also it's very supportive and is a good choice for bigger busted women. The owner/designer of Prego used to work at Speedo so she understands maternity swimear. TummyStyle said that they have a lot of women ordering this suit for swimming.
One other thing they told me is to hand wash the suits and don't throw in the dryer. The suits are high in lycra and the heat breaks it down.
Re: Maternity Swimsuit
I have been searching for the same thing. So far, this is all that I have been able to find. I was hoping to find one a little less expensive.

ETA: I would like something like this for swimming laps at the pool, for anything else I like the bikinis or tankinis better.

They also have tankinis on sale now that are simple and cute.

I bought one last month so I'm praying it'll fit this summer. If not, I'll be rocking a bikini...possibly
