just found out yesterday that we're pregnant! i work full time and go to school so i don't have a ton of time to be reading. what book(s) do you most recommend?
My husband gave me the newest edition of "What to Expect When You're Expecting" for Valentine's Day. So far I'm really enjoying it. The woman I work for has "The Pregnancy Bible" and I've looked through that a few times and I also really like that one.
Regardless
of the type of birth you are planning on having you should read theses
the 1st is stories, they are a little hippy free love but good.
others that I have and like are
PLANNING YOUR PREGNANCY AND BIRTH
it is written by the amarican collage of ob/gyns so it is factual and good like it better than
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOUR EXPECTING
it is ok but there are better books
THE EVERYTHING PREGNANCY BOOK
THE EVERYTHING PREGNANCY NUTRITION BOOK
THE EVERYTHING FATHER TO BE BOOK
all are good fun to read not amazingly helpful.
CRIB NOTES by amy maniatis
funny little notes and facts my DH likes it a lot.
THE UNOFFICIAL GUIDE TO HAVING A BABY
a lot of information pretty good.
I hated
Belly Laughs by jenny mccarthy
and
the girlfriends guide to pregnancy by vicki iovine
they just felt so shallow and I felt like they missed a lot. just me.
NON FICTION
DIARY OF A MAD MOM TO BE by Laura Wolf
fun funny I liked it.
little earthquakes by jennifer weiner
I love weiners books and this one is good
babyville by jane green
another good baby/pregnancy book
