2. Start college and.....

3. Get drunk for the first time (the very first night of college!)

4. Buy a car

5. Graduate college and....

6. Move out of parent's house for good (I moved in with a friend after graduation and ended up not going back to WI to live at all)

7. Become gainfully employed (I'm assuming this means full-time....I've had a job since I was 14, but got my first "real" job at 22)

8. Meet DH

9. Buy a house (though, technically, I never did this. I just moved from my apartment into the house MH bought before we met)

10. Get married and.....

11. Get PG (tried for a honeymoon baby which didn't work, but 4 months later is close enough!)

12. Have baby #1

1. Graduated high school

2. started college/moved out of parents' house for good (I kept stuff there, but never moved back).

3. got drunk (although I did go to some parties when I was still in HS, it wasn't a regular occurrence until college).

4. graduated college

5. moved out of state - bought a car (previous 2 were paid for by my grandpa)

6. met DH - finished grad school - moved back to my homestate

7. got a grown up job/put my degrees to good use (I always worked to help with expenses but didn't have a "career" until after grad school).

8. got married

9. bought a house

10. got pregnant

11. had baby #1

can't wait to see what is to come! more babies, pay of student loan, better jobs, and hopefully a cabin on the water!

Buy a car - right before I graduated from HS

Become gainfully employed (I'm assuming this means in a job where you fully support yourself - rent/food/everything, otherwise, I've had a PT job continually since I was 11)

(graduate grad school)

Buy a NEW car lol (I was clearly not thinking I'd have student loan pmts soon after this).

Meet DH

Buy a house (condo/TH)

Get married

Get PG

Have baby #1

Fun!

1. Graduate high school

3. Get drunk for the first time (but this occurred very close to...)

4. Graduate college (I was such a goody two shoes and didn't drink till I turned 21)

5. Move out of parent's house for good (although, really, that happened when I went away for college b/c after graduating, I moved to Japan for 1.5 years)

6. Become gainfully employed (I was fully employed when I lived in Japan, but not in my career field. When I got back, I started my career)

7. Buy a car (still have that car)

8. Buy a townhouse (bought my first townhome when I was single)

9. Meet DH

10. Buy a house (bought big ol house with MH, then spent the next 2 years remodeling it)

11. Adopted a dog (I had to add that one since she's my first baby )

12. Get married

13. Get PG

14. Have baby #1

How FUN!

Let's see... Graduate high school (get GED) - I was homeschooled and got a GED at 14 to graduate.
Start college - I started at 16, so I was still living at home.
Move out of parent's house for good - I moved out at 18 while halfway through college. Lived in the dorms for a year, then in an apartment with a friend.

Become gainfully employed - I worked part time while in college.

Graduate college - graduated at 20 and headed out to travel a bit before starting graduate school (little did I know I wouldn't be going back to the USA any time soon, eh?).

Get drunk for the first time - I went to a religious college and booze was grounds for expulsion. But after I graduated, I went to Ireland. Good times, baby. Big Smile

Meet DH - we met in 2003 but didn't date until 2005. We were long distance for a few months before I moved to his city (which was much better than mine lol).

Buy a house (condo/TH) - I bought a condo shortly after moving in with Ben. We didn't own a home jointly until we moved to where we live now.

Get married - we lived in sin for a few years before making things official.
Get PG - self explanatory, no? Stick out tongue

Have baby #1 ... and #2? Stick out tongue

Believe it or not, I have NEVER bought a car. When I was in college, I used one that my dad bought for me (a weensy Ford Aspire - crap car with an engine powered by a hamster on a wheel, but I had good times driving around in it lol) and after I graduated I started traveling and didn't need a car. And although we have joint finances, our current car is registered in Ben's name only (he bought it when we were shacking up but not married).

Fun! Mine is pretty similar to everyone else. 1. Get Drunk..... too early2. Buy a car.... A Dodge Neon, ha! Such a good first car.3. Graduate High School.... Class of 994. College.... and worked part time to pay for it and that damn car5. Move out of parents house.... moved to another province with skeeve ex boyfriend and promptly dump him but stayed in said province6. Become gainfully employed... to pay for my love of shoes, oh and food and shelter I guess.7. Meet DH..... lucky girl8. Buy a House.... and adopt our 2 dogs9. Get drunk for the first time- yep I was WAY too young! Buy a car (yep $500!!) It was a white crysler new yorker, totally a grandma car but I was working and had to buy my own car and pay my own insurance Graduate high school Start college Graduate college Become gainfully employed- well I worked part time through high school and full time all through college but I started my "career" after college Bought a NEW car- a 2002 Honda Civic that I'm STILL driving!! it's a bit crunched with two car seats in the back and eventually we'll be getting a mini-van (something I said I'd NEVER do) but for now, it works. Bought my first house (on my own!) and moved out of my parent's house FOR GOOD!- I lived with a bf in college for about a yr and found out he was cheating so I promptly moved back in with my dad and finished college while at my dad's. So about 6 months after graduating college, I bought a house on my own! Meet DH- I had moved to san diego to take a travel nurse job and met him there. We were friends for about a yr and we both moved away but maintained our friendship. Moved to Seattle to date DH- I was living in Northern Cali with plans to move back home but he convinced me to "give it a try" Moved to HI- 6 months after my Seattle move, we moved together to HI and moved into a <300 sq foot condo! Talk about a test! Bought our condo in Hawaii
Get engaged Get married- on the beach in Hawaii Mom diagnosed with cancer, I freaked out and wanted to move back "home" so we agreed to compromise and move to WI (his hometown, he wasn't ready to leave) and in the midst of the craziness we... Get PG- we were trying but had kind of put it on hold because of the above and "putting it on hold" meant lots of stress relief $ex, which = BFP

Moved to Wisconsin Bought a house Have baby #1- this happened 4 weeks after we bought our house... she was 5 weeks early so needless to say, things were crazy. Miscarriage- not trying but not preventing. Have baby #2- again not trying but not preventing and we were really ready after the mc to have another

9- Become gainfully employed...7/?/0810- Bought our first house 4/?/10 Still working on:Having baby #1 Will start TTC January 2012I left my parents house and moved in with the ILs! Even though we have our own house, it's so far away that I wouldn't be able to pay for the gas to go to work!

Hoping that I can transfer closer to work or sell that place and buy place closer to town. (which is what I wanted to do in the first place)

7. Buy a car -- Saved $ and bought a new VW GTI in 20018. Meet DH -- Open bar black tie fundraising gala in 20039. Get married -- Feb. 17, 2008. Three years ago TODAY!!10. Get PG -- Were in a 1br/1ba condo... Needed a house asap!11. Buy a house -- Whew! Moved in 2 months before EDD12. Have baby #1 -- Alexa was born on 9/9/0913. Have baby #2 -- EDD Oct. 1, 2011

OMG...I'm so old! My order of things seems quite different than many of you...

1. Get drunk for the first time (15 or so?)

2. Graduate high school (got drunk that night too! ) 1987

3. Start college-(best 5 or 6 years of my life!)

4. Graduate college-1992

5. Buy a car-1989 Silver Ford Probe, man I loved that car!

6. Become gainfully employed-1992 at the University of Iowa, I am STILL here!

7. Move out of parent's house for good -1992 -First an apartment, then I bought a trailer (gasp). Laugh if you will but it allowed me to put a down payment on my house when I sold it for almost twice what I bought it for!

8. Buy a house-1997- I bought this on my own when I was 28. We still live in this house!

9. Meet DH-1998

10. Get PG-2001

11. Have baby #1 -2002 (now an almost 9 year old!)

12. Get married-2007 (to said 9 year old's father!)

Become gainfully employed -- I started working in college to pay for all my expenses and half of my tuition (my parents paid for the other half of tuition), but I didn't get my first full-time job until I graduated from college.

Get buzzed for the first time -- I'm severely allergic to alcohol, so before I got drunk, I had stopped drinking because I was covered with hives but I did get buzzed (and found out the hard way that I was allergic)

Graduate college

Meet DH

Move out of parent's house for good (to go to grad school)

Get married (after graduating from grad school) AND get a house - didn't buy it...MH bought it before we were even dating
