Not what I expected...

We are home!!  Yay, we got home yesterday, and it really has been wonderful, but it is so different than what I thought it would be like.  First it really has been a roller coaster ride emotional.  I didn't expect the "baby blues" to be like they have been.  I have been a mess, and I'm sure it has alot to do with how the delivery and the time we had to stay in the hospital and all the issues there.  Zachariah is doing great with breastfeeding for the most part which is great, but I feel like I'm second guessing everything I am doing with him...  Also we are still worried about him having issues, he is alittle jaundice, it wasn't enough to keep him in the hospital, but we have to get him retested tomorrow, and I really hope his levels are still low.  I'm kinda worried about that.. but I'm trying to stay positive.  I'm still healing up and I have also hurt my wrist (prolly from picking up and holding a BIG baby).. there really was no point to this other than just to vent..  well off to feed the baby!

Come on Sticky baby!!

Re: Not what I expected...

  • The first couple days home can be rough. I wouldn't worry too much, things will start to fall in place. Don't let the delivery and hospital stay get you down, that's in the past and now you get to be home and enjoy your beautiful little boy. Good Luck!!

just a suggestion for the jaundice, put his bassinet in the window and open the blinds. that is what DD's pedi told us to do and it helped tremendously. hopefully it will help your little man and be one less worry for you.
