DS is sick and can't go back to DCP for a week. My wonderful mom is coming down tonight - Thursday so DH and I don't have to burn all of our PTO.
Confession: I'm so happy my mom is coming for a few days - especially when I won't be home all day. She will (without us asking, of course) clean our house because she wants to, make dinner, run to the grocery store, etc. I'm also sick and I just can't freaking wait to be taken care of for a few days. Yes, we do know how lucky we are.
Plus she is bringing her scrapbooking stuff to help with some of DS's birthday party stuff.
Anyone else?

The Chaos of Six!
OMG, I think we have the same mom!!!! Right down to the scrapbooking!
I have a FFMC too. I am having Lime Sherbet and coffee for breakfast. Mmmm!
No flames here. My younger cousin (DD's godmother) was at my house for the weekend and I looooved having the help and she didn't do any cooking or cleaning!
Enjoy it while it lasts!
that is quite the nasty combo you have going there
I guess that does sound kinda gross. I had the coffee, then bumped for a little bit and then had the lime sherbet... Does that make it sound yummier?
I would have actually died from either malnutrition, exhaustion, or being covered by dirt if my momma hadn't stayed with us after having DS. He was in the NICU and she always had full healthy meals prepared for us when we came home to take a break. She also did all our laundry and kept the place clean for us.
She's coming up today but she won't do that stuff now. She will, however, take care of DS so I can do it.
Man, I wanna know where I can get me one of these cleaning, cooking, laundry folding, scrap booking moms?
My mom came to "help out" before LO was born, and all she managed to do was break the key off in the door, scratch the new hardwood floor and leave water glasses everywhere around the house....
I want to flame the holy H out of you right now, only because I'm so jealous! You are so lucky!
Not that I wish LO would get sick, but man I would LOVE if my mom would stay for a few nights, especially because she would definitely clean (like the deep, MOM clean that only she would do!)
