Gah! DH & I woke up tonight because DD started fussing. We jumped up but she wasn't crying, just fussing. I know it probably would have turned into crying but after about 10 minutes of fussing she was still trying to settle herself so we stayed in bed. DH watched the monitor. Then he decided to go into the nursery and try to get DD down - now she is crying. DH is trying to help soothe DD which I do appreciate, but she wasn't effing crying! Now she's totally awake. I can't get her to stay settled. It's going to be a long day tomorrow.

Re: She wasn't crying! (vent)
Sorry to hear that.
My wife and I have a system after we put our son down for bed. We let him fuss it out but not cry it out, but we have to both agree that it's time to go get him before I do. Usually we're in quick agreement, but sometimes we wait a little longer than one of us thinks.
