I am looking now for a lightweight but supportive wrap for carrying DD this summer. I have heard great things about BBSlen, but I am loving the look of Vatanai wraps. Would I be silly to give this a shot with a 20 pound 16 month old?
I use them with my 28 pound 2 year old so I'd say no ;-)
It's really personal preference in terms of what you like in wrapping qualities. Vats are thin but moldable which for me makes them more comfortable than thick less-moldable wrap that I can't get a tight carry with!
Thanks so much ncbelle! My current wraps are a bit thicker and I do enjoy them, but I always wonder if it would be nice to have something thinner and easier to tie and wrap tightly. I am thinking I am going to try a 3m for summer. I have only wrapped with a 6 so far, but I would like to try something short for the warmer weather and am hoping we will find the love with Vat. If nothing else, I know there are plenty of mamas out there that would be happy to take it off of my hands if it doesn't work out for us. Nothing to lose, right?!
