I have a 2 1/2 year old. We bed-shared, co-slept, used a swing, slept on a floor mattress, and more during the first 3-6 months of her life and never found one way that was ideal. Pregnant with #2, I am trying to see if I can get a bit better plan of action...I know I really won't know until it happens.
But, I would love to hear what sleeping set up worked best for you - especially during the first 3-6 months? Sidecarring the crib? Arm's Reach Co-sleeper? Bed sharing? A specific product? etc.? Thanks for sharing your situations
Re: What Sleeping Arrangement Worked for You? 0-3/6 mos.
Congrats on #2!
We had an arms reach co-sleeper. He probably mostly slept there the first couple of months because I wasn't sure about bed sharing yet. This time, we plan to side car the crib and newbie will either sleep there or beside me in bed...or both!

We tried the (family heirloom) bassinet next to our bed and she hated it and refused to sleep in it.
We did part-time bed-sharing (my DH wasn't comfortable with doing it all night) and part-time in her swing right next to the bed (she loved the side-to-side motion). She slept in her swing until she was almost 4 months and then went straight to her crib and we would still bring her to bed with us when she woke up in the night.
