I've often heard from pregnant women that they can distinguish what body parts their LO's are moving. For example, they can differentiate between a heel, fist, etc. Have any of you been able to do this? Is this something that is possible later on in pregnancy?
I have tons and tons of movement going on from both of our LO's, but there is no way I can tell exactly what body part is moving

Re: Ladies feeling movement...
SAIFer lurking... I felt like a dunce when I was pregnant because I never had any idea which body parts I was feeling or even how he was generally positioned -- not even when I was 41w pregnant.
I wonder if this is easier or harder with twins?? Harder, I would think, since there are twice as many parts involved!
When she was head down consistently and I'd feel a jabby hit low in my pelvis, I'd assume it was a punch vs. a kick. Now, I just don't know because I'm obviously clueless as to what position she's in right now.
After two losses, third time was a charm.

The "kicks" are usually feet. (I mostly know this because of frequent ultrasounds and knowing where their feet are.)
I can feel a big round head from the outside. Head in ribs is pretty painful.
Since I know where his feet are and where his head is, I can even tell when he's stretching b/c I feel his feet push and his head push at the same time.
Baby B, I have no idea. He's got an anterior placenta and I hardly feel him at all.
I remember being less clear on O. I assume having so many ultrasounds and knowing for sure how they're positioned helps me figure it out.
I will say, all of my babies have been breech for the vast majority of the PGs, and I've always felt most movement below the belly button.
I have no idea what is what. Sometimes I feel/see a big ball and wonder if that's a hiney or the head. But maybe it's her elbow. I'm so clueless....but have to say completely mesmorized!
