how many dpo were you? and did you test days before and get bfn then get a bfp? thanks!

I took a HPT the day before i was expecting my period and got a BFN, but sure enough my period was late! I didnt think I was pregnant because I had just gone off the pill after my LMP. My period was 2 weeks late so I took another test, and sure enough it was positive!! I was already 6 weeks pregnant! So its definately possible to get a negative even when you are pregnant! Last pregnancy, I got my BFP about a week late (for my period, not per ovulation time), however, I wasn't temping so I don't know my exact ovulation date. This time, I was temping and got it at 11 DPO. If you did not temp and/or did not have a doctor closing following you to determine ovulation date, then you have no idea if you got the BFP late or not.

First day I tested was 12-13 dpo with BFP.

This website actually has a chart with the odds of you still being pregnant after a BFN:

Of course it can depend on the sensitivity of the HPT and concentration of urine. But it seems in general, the odds of still being pregnant are low if you have a BFN at 12 dpo and on.
