Follies too mature??

So I had my cd13 u/s this morning, got the trigger shot and will have my IUI tomorrow, but something weird is going on this cycle. I was on 50mg of Clomid cd 3-7 and this morning had 3 (possibly 4 by IUI time) follies. They measured 36, 26, 16, 14 (the 14 may catch up right?).

What's the deal with the 36 and 26? Are they too mature to have an egg in them? I've read that the 36 could be a cyst but the nurse didn't see at all concerned by it.

I wish I had a straightforward response for you, but unfortunately I don't:( Just wanted to say that I had a similar situation with my 3rd IUI (also a Clomid cycle). I had 2 follies - one at 25 mm and one at 26 mm. It was at my first monitoring appointment (I think cd12, and I was taking Clomid cds 5-9) so it was bizarrely early to have such mature follies. I also wondered whether at least one of them was a functional cyst, but I was told "not to worry about it" and to trigger immediately and come back for IUI the following morning. I didn't get pregnant that cycle, but I also didn't have a residual cyst. In short, I wondered the exact same thing but never really got a satisfying response. I hope at least one of those guys has a viable egg in it - good luck to you!

I know there is a girl on PAIF who had one 30mm follow and is now pregnant from that cycle, but I've never heard of anything larger than that. Good luck!

i think with clomid the size is bigger usually 20 and more before trigger. i wouldbe concerned more with the timing of iui. i would say 24hrs is to soon. it shouldbe 36hrs after trigger.
