Question on 3 day PT-ing Please come in

Hi,

 

So this is actually my first post.  Next week I have the week off so I'm going to attempt 3 day PT with my son (26 months).   I have read the manual already and started prepping.  I know it says to throw all diapers away- my question is that I also have an 11 month old daughter.  She will be home with us too, so there is no way I could throw all diapers away.  Do you think this would be a huge distraction to my son (as in seeing me change her?)  I was going to just make a big deal about how he is a big boy and gets to wear underwear but since she is still a baby she has to wear a diaper.  Any one else in this situation with any suggestions? TIA!

    I'm not in your position, but I think your explanation is a good one. I would just be sure to really emphasize every time you change DD's diaper that she wears diapers because she's a BABY and that only BABIES wear diapers. The actual 3 day method would probably recommend you trying to get someone to watch your daughter so that you could focus 100% on PTing your DS.

    I think the above suggestion is good...do you change them in the same place?  If not, then I think it will be OK, like "big boys go here and babies go there".

    I say this not 3DPT my child yet (we start the 25th, hold me!).  My son is also 26 months old - you should come back and post how it goes!

    Hmm... good question. I don't think it would be a big deal, but this could be a good question to ask on the 3-day potty training website. When you buy the eBook it gives you access to their Help Desk. We found the Help Desk incredibly helpful when potty training DD.

    Thanks for the responses. Sorry it's taken me so long to post again! So I'm officially starting either this afternoon or tomorrow morning, but probably tomorrow as I'm trying to follow the e book as close as possible. My husband is going to help 2 of the days with our daughter, but he will still be home with us all so I guess we will emphasize babies and big boys. Thanks for your input! I will try to post again at the end of day 1!
