team Pink!! Our precious little girl, Olivia Jeanne, was born Tuesday Feb. 15th, 2 days before her due date, at 7lbs 5oz, and is the light of our lives.
I had my 40 week appointment at 930 in the morning. My OB was doing the internal, and had this weird look on her face. She then goes, are you having contractions? I had been having some one and off for weeks, but nothing timeable or super painful. She goes, well your almost 6 cm dialated and your membranes are bulging. Youre going to L and D and having this baby today!
Once I was in L and D, I was monitored for 2 hours as contractions were 2 mins apart. They were uncomfortable, but I was never in a lot of pain. Just a lot of pressure. My water was broken at 1230, Epidural was given (which is Gods gift to earth by the way) and after 40 mins of pushing, she was born at 5pm.
They dont call it labor for nothing, and at one point I looked at my husband and said, I cant push any harder! I dont think I can do this! My husband was amazing, and it was such an emotional and amazing experience.
All the best to the February mommies still with inside babies...its worth the wait!
(I cant get a picture to post, not sure how to do it)
