I'm a week and 3 days pp and the past couple of days it has hurt when I urinate...kind of stings...anyone else experience this? do you know if it's normal?

Sounds like you could be getting/have a uti.

I had that. I don't know if it's normal or not, but it's gotten better.

Yep, sounds like a UTI. You can buy test strips (one brand is AZO) at the drugstore if you're really concerned. UTI's are horrible!

I went in to see my OB due to the same thing. In the beginning it was a little sting but within two days I was wanting to cry when I urinated so if you suspect you have a UTI I recommend you do not wait to get antibiotics.

I was prescribed meds and it has been slowly getting better.

do they just have you do a urine sample to find out? I think I'm just more worried she will have to do something internal.

they can tell you have a uti just from a simple pee test.

Definitely could be a UTI or it could be from trauma to your bladder. With each of mine it has been uncomfortable to pee the first week or so. Especially if I don't drink enough fluids. But it never hurts to leave a sample at your physician's office just in case. UTIs are terrible! Feel better soon!

I had a UTI at 2w6d pp and I called and gave my symptoms and the nurse (thankfully) called me in an antibiotic and it has cleared up. I hate UTIs and have been drinking more fluids and peeing more often, even if I don't feel the need to go.

This same thing happened to me at about 3 weeks. I was al ready to go and make an appointment and then it just stopped. I was cathed during my L&D so I was thinking probably UTI but whatever it was, it resolved itself. weird.
