Would there be any interest a Euchre night?

If I were to plan a Euchre night/tourney would we have any (enough) takers? We would need multiples of 4. Euchre is easy to learn and I am happy to teach. It's a simple game and there is no money involved. If we don't have enough takers or we don't have a multiple of 4 would people like to do a Bunco night?

BUT since this would be taking place at my house I might not be okay with any random internet stranger signing up. Chances are I would restrict it to the ladies I have met in person (which is a good lot of you) and to a manageable number. If you have a problem with that you can bite me. (Can I say that on here?)

I PPH the way you phrased that! LOL I would be interested (I think we met at the Mexican craziness, right?), but it would totally depend on when you do it, as I don't have long until my due date. I love Euchre... but what is bunco?

I love me some euchre but I've never played Bunco. I promise not to make fun, considering my house couldn't even hold more than 8 people... who am I to judge?!?!

I haven't played euchre in years and years and don't remember how (although I used to love to play) but would be willing to re-learn if you're teaching.

I would love to do either! Tell me when and where and I'll be there

Glad to see there is some interest. But I realized I'm an idiot since Bunco requires multiples of 4 as well. So if we end up with a non-4-multiple number I will have to come up with another game. Hhhmmm... Hopefully we'll have the right number and it won't be a problem.

I would love to put together a regular game if we have enough interest and people's schedules can accommodate it.

Either way, I am in as long as it isn't too close to my due date or I am not a brand new momma. As long as I am kosher on the invite list... unlike TTT I don't want my butt kicked! LOL

The last (and only) time I played Bunco, they had two dummies in... So I think as long as you have multiples of 2 you are good.

I know how to play pitch, but not euchre, but from those I have taught to play pitch, they are similar. Would definitely be interested!

DH and I would LOVE to play euchre. He saw the title of the post and got as excited as I did. Oh, and I taught all my friends in high school how to play, so I can offer lessons if you want (though it may take me a bit to dust off my euchre memory)

Depending on when you decide to have it, I am interested. I have to learn either one, but I am willing to try it. If it becomes a regular thing, I may have to just be a sub when someone can't make it since my silly work schedule (at least where I am right now) won't allow any regular outings.

We have euchre tournaments all the time at family functions and we draw for partners. You really only need an even number because you can have a team sit out then play winners or what not. Just a suggestion. Sometimes if we have uneven numbers we just take turns playing. But thats only when we aren't playing for money.

Uh oh ladies, looks like we have a professional on our hands! :P Thanks for the info though. That makes sense and that sounds like something that would work if we have odd numbers.

I could definitely fit 4 tables maybe 5 but I am thinking 20 people (5 tables) would be crazy. So 4 tables sounds more doable to me. So I will put people on the list in order of response here and pick a date and whoever can come can come and we'll work down the list like that. Sound good? Now I just need to consult DH's schedule for a good date.
