Pregnant at Disney World

DH wants to go to Disney this summer with his brother and family. While I think it would be really fun, we were also thinking about TTC #2 so I might be pregnant when would be be there. Also, DS would only be 2.

Would it be worth it to take a 2 year old to Disney? AND Is there anything that I could do there?

TIA!

Re: Pregnant at Disney World

  • We were just at Disney 2 weeks ago. My 18 month old had a blast and was much more into it than I ever expected! It was a wonderful experience and we had so much fun!
I am pregnant so I did avoid the real jerky coasters..but other than that did a lot. I did the tower of terror, test track, etc but avoided space mountain & thunder mountain.
You probably can't help this but I would avoid Disney at all cost in the summer. Not only is it super crowded but when we were there in February it was very warm.. Enough that a couple times I stripped DS down to a diaper to keep him cool. I can't imagine being there in that heat pregnant and trying to keep a toddler cool and hydrated...

  • We went just to Magic Kingdom for the day in Sept and I was 24 weeks pregnant and DS was 2 1/2.  It was hotter than heck which was the only issue.  There was plenty there that DS really enjoyed and I rode the kiddie rides (Dumbo, flying carpets, indoor rides, etc).  I agree that the heat will be your only issue.  If you are staying nearby it probably wouldn't be as big a deal because you could leave during the heat of the afternoon and go back later to avoid the extreme temps.  We drove over from Daytona Beach so we stayed all day.  Have fun!
