Sweets are getting me in trouble

Being on bedrest sucks. I gained no weight up until I was 16 weeks. Since then I've gained 20 lbs now :( I'm putting on 2lbs a week. My dr just keeps saying "just watch your weight, try not to eat too much." 

But we just have Valentine's day so we have candy sitting in my kitchen and its girl scout cookie season! Of course I have some thin mints and somoas! I also have fudge brownies with icing just sitting in the kitchen, begging for me to eat them. I sit here all day staring into my kitchen, drooling over the amazing things that are in there. 

Damn you bedrest and amazing sweet things in my kitchen.

    I went through a two week period where nothing sounded good to me except for ice cream and chips ahoy cookies (which, gross) and I indulged and indulged... until I started feeling achy and tired and grumpy and I thought it just might be those cookies, because I never eat like that.  I cut out the cookies and I feel so much better. 

     Long winded way of saying, enjoy, but maybe not too much!

    LOL I've definitely had a day or two where I've done too much and just felt super sick. I didn't crave sweets at all until I hit 20 weeks. Weirdest thing!

  • Ya me tooooooooo!!! I won't tell you how much weight I've gained :P Why not indulge, we certainly won't when we're trying to lose the baby weight!
  • OMG, those brownies sound spectacular!!!  I have been craving sweets like you wouldn't believe!

  • I might have just finished a package of Ho Ho's - really healthy for me and baby.

    I swear, I can't get enough sweets these days.  It's all I crave. I try to be good and fill up on protein, but nothing is working.

  • Sadly I am SOOO craving sweets but I am bad and I go for it. Snickers has been the new thing here these past few weeks but at night its always ice cream and after lunch I love to have some of them heart shaped snack cakes which are HORRIBLE for you Embarrassed Oh well there yummy :)

  • I am totally craving sweets all the time! I feel like it might be the power of suggestion...my OB told me at my last appointment to "watch the weight gain" and "don't do too much sugar". I swear, I feel like ever since he said that all I want is chocolate covered everything! =( Try to substitute the sweet craving for healthier options. I just bought a variety of fruits and flavored yogurts and I'm drinking flavored mineral water (when I crave soda or something other than plain water). Healthy alternatives will make you feel better! =)
