curious: How do YOU pronounce "Joie"

It's not a name I'm using, I heard it recently and I think the parents thought it was a different name than what they intended...I know what the French pronunciation sounds like, but if you read that name, how would you personally pronounce it?

Like Josie without the S? I only say that bc you said it's a french sound tho. When I first saw it I would've said Joey.

My grandmother's best friend was Joellen, who went by Joie for short, which was pronounced "Joey," like the baby kangaroo. :-)

I don't speak French but I did take a few years of it so I also know how to pronounce it correctly. DD had a little girl in her preschool class named Joie and pronounced it Joey. Horrible imo.
