WWYD and T&P please...
Ok, when Aditya was born, they couldn't do a circumcision because of something called Chordee. He's basically a little crooked. We went to see a pediatric urologist today, and he said it wouldn't cause any physical damage if we were to not do surgery, and he would probably have no problem having children in the future. He does think, however, that it might cause other kids to laugh at him and make him not fit in, if anyone else were to see it. The surgery is relatively simple, outpatient with general anesthesia. My question is, would you do the surgery?
On another note, please pray for my mother. She just told me today that she has a tumor on her pituitary gland. It is relatively large, as far as pituitary tumors go. They are going to do an MRI to get measurements to see how they want to proceed. She has been having memory loss problems for a while now, and major headaches. She went in to see a doctor in October of 2009, and they told her there were irregularities and that she needed to call back to schedule an MRI then. But with her bad memory, she forgot all about it. She went in last week, and they told her that it had grown so much that they couldn't even see the 4 nodules of the pituitary gland. I'm worried. I'm scared to death, actually. She may not have been the best mom, but she is still my mom. I am calling her every day now to get the MRI scheduled.
On top of all that, my birthday is Monday, I'll be 25, and DH will be working out of town. Boo.

I'm confused.. the kids will make fun of him for not being circed? or being crooked? As for not being circed my son isnt and the numbers of uncirced boys are going up and up so I highly doubt he will be made fun of for it.

As far as the surgery goes, I really don't know if I would do it. I say if it works fine, then leave it alone. I have to wonder how many kids are really going to see it.... but maybe I'm just being naive.
I'm so sorry about your mom. I can't imagine how scared you are. Is your mom close by? Is there anyway you could schedule the MRI and make sure she gets there?

Sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she gets better.
About the chorsdee, no I wouldn't have the surgery. I don't think kids will laugh at him because no one should be seeing his penis. I have a 14 year old and no one has seen his penis except for me and I haven't seen it in years. No more showers in the locker room for this generation.

Ds is uncut, and I think it is one of the best decisions we've made for him. Like PP said the numbers are going up of uncir'd boys.
Also I would think the foreskin might help cover up the bend? ..I would think having him cir'd you'd notice it a lot more. Plus who knows his future wife might like it
Thanks, Yankee! Good to know that no one has seen your son's penis...wow, that sounds weird. But really, that's what we thought, too, when the doctor said that. Who is going to see it? And (DH had this thought), the curvature might be more pleasurable for his girlfriend/wife later on...Men...LOL
I wouldnt do it. I agree with Yankee that they don't shower in gym anymore and no-one should be close enough to him to see a curve.

I'd probably leave the penis alone. How many boys are really going to see it? I don't think they use community locker room showers and the like anymore, so he should be fine.

Thanks for the T&P for my mom. She lives 7 hours away. I will try to be down there for her MRI, but will definitely be down there surgery or radiation, whatever treatment they give her...

DH curves to the left. I don't mind it, hardly notice, and would be really surprised if one of his friends was able to see his penis long enough to process it and make fun.

I agree with Yankee. If I were you I won't do the surgery. If it's not causing any harm to his health then I'd leave it alone.
