Hi, ladies
I am a first time mom to a 1 month old little boy, and just recently decided to try the babywearing thing. LO sleeps well at night in his bassinet, but during the day he loves to be held and it's hard to get anything done. So, I finally broke down and ordered a Moby wrap. It should be coming in the mail today. I guess what I'm wondering is, what are some of your favorite ways to carry a newborn using the Moby? LO is about 9 lbs right now and loves to snuggle up on me like a little tree frog with his knees up against his chest. Any ideas or experiences you'd like to share are welcome. TIA!
Re: Tell me about your Moby wrap!
I also recommend the newborn hughold unless your LO has reflux issues. If he does then use the regular hughold to prevent putting extra pressure on his tummy.
Also when you are tying the moby, make sure that it is tight on you (kind of like a shirt that is one size to small tight) before you place him in. The stretch in the fabric will sag and hurt your back if you let it be to loose.
We did the newborn hug hold until about six weeks and then went to the regular hug hold. DD's legs are long and her knees were really killing me! She loves the Moby!
I wouldn't bother with any other hold. The newborn hug or the regular hug hold are the most supportive and distribute the weight most evenly anyway.
